I underwent the Whipple’s procedure, also known as pancreaticoduodenectomy, which was a complex surgical procedure performed by Dr. Appou at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, Scotland, in 2023.
Dr. Appou truly cares about his patients. He is an excellent communicator; he explained my condition and the surgical procedure in detail, using terms I could understand. I felt confident and reassured by his explanations. He took a great deal of time to listen to my concerns and answer all my questions, and he made sure I understood everything. I felt like a priority throughout the entire process. He is clearly an incredibly skilled and knowledgeable surgeon. I was so impressed with his professionalism and bedside manner. He made what could have been a stressful experience feel reassuring and pleasant. I felt I was in excellent care throughout my procedure. I am extremely happy with the results of my surgery and could not recommend him more highly.
